Unlike some other freeform stations that just take a bunch of songs and play them in a random order, NeverEndingWonder Radio attempts to provide a cohesive listening experience that still features a wide variety of musical styles, providing maximum enjoyment to the adventurous listener. Thanks to a sophisticated rotation scheme we alternate themed "sets" of music. In "heavy rotation" sets you'll hear a freewheeling mixture of new additions to the NeverEndingWonder Radio library from a variety of styles. Alternating with heavy rotation, you'll hear sets of music from our extensive library of: Experimental Music - Ranging from early experimental composers such Charles Ives, Erik Satie, Karlheinz Stockhausen, minimalists like Terry Riley & John Cage, iconoclasts like Harry Partch, a plethora of electronic experimenters, and other artists who are forging new musical avenues, including many new independent experimental artists. Electrontic Music - From the early experimental years with artists such as Vladimir Ussachevsky, Pauline Oliveros, Otto Luening, Raymond Scott & Ruth White, to the moog years with artists like Perry & Kingsley, Wendy Carlos, Bruce Haack & a plethora of cheesey moog artists, to the expansive 70's with Kitaro, Tomita, Tangerine Dream, Brian Eno and others, up to the modern age with the likes of Aphex Twin, David Toop, Laurie Anderson and many others. Even classic Commadore 64 SIDs! Blast From the Past - Music from the 1890's to the 1940's including early country, jazz, swing, big band, Tin Pan Alley and novelty music, including the oldest surviving sound recording - the soundtrack to the experimental talking clock, from 1878. Comedy Music - Any music that's created with the purpose to make people laugh. From Spike Jones, Hoosier Hotshots & Tom Lehrer to Frank Zappa, Monty Python, Heywood Banks and many newer artists. Rare & Hard to Find Pop & Rock From the 60's & 70's - Chrysalis, Ark 2, Steelwind, Tingling Mothers Circus, Kim Fowley, 50 Foot Hose, 500 Ft of Pipe, Ars Nova, The Hobbits and many, many others. Lots of early garage and psychedelia. Indies & Unsigned Artists - Culled from our library of hundreds of artists that have submitted their music to NeverEndingWonder Radio over the years, covering a variety of styles. Why can't you hear music this good on regular radio? Occasionally - Just to keep things interesting, several times a day we'll slip in a couple sets of music from other styles, such as blues, folk, classical, classic rock, international, modern rock & alternative, exotica, Goth, showtunes, prog, jazz, R & B and other types.
